This past weekend was an incredible one for Watchtower by Powers. Across multiple clinics, I had the privilege of working with 22 shooters ranging from brand-new competitors to advanced athletes, all looking to grow their skills and confidence behind the rifle.
Throughout the weekend, we focused on the fundamentals that drive success in precision rifle: position building, target acquisition, wind reading, stage strategy, and mental management. Whether a shooter was learning the basics for the first time or refining advanced match processes, the goal remained the same—develop a stronger understanding of both the technical and mental sides of the sport.
One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is watching confidence grow. Seeing competitors connect the dots, trust their process, and leave with new tools for success is why I love what I do.
Precision rifle is about more than hitting targets. It's about continual growth, problem-solving, and building a community that supports one another. Every shooter who invests in learning helps make our sport stronger.
Thank you to all 22 students who spent the weekend training, learning, and pushing themselves to improve. It was a joy to work with each of you, and I can't wait to see your continued success on and off the range.
Growing the sport and making it stronger!
